This one comes at a fun time as we just got our masters back for the new record, How To Kill The World ♡
This record has been almost four years in the making and has been such a moment of exploration and redefinition for UTR.
We're very much back to our old selves in that we are planning music videos and release assets at the same time we're planning for a new album recording session in September, so there is plenty for y'all to look forward too.
We're including one of the demos we're thinking about producing fully in September, as well as the working lyrics to that, here:
i was disappearing into nothing
my dreams were always dreams where I was running
I would run away would run away would run away
but the monster that I was running from
would somehow be always catching up to me
I found myself at church cause I had lost it
the pastor asked me out for late-nite coffee
now I am wide awake I'm wide awake I'm wide awake
and everything feels so awfully wrong
he's licking his thin lip with his tongue
and I
I am trying
trying to find my way to god
but god isn't where I thought
I found myself in a red light motel room
the smell of piss and whisky as the bed moved
and I would run away would run away would run away
but I stare at the cockroach on the lamp
doing a little happy dance
and I
I am trying
trying to find my way to god
but god isn't where I thought
and somewhere
in my mind
I can conceive of where it is
and where it's not
Other than that, Brendan has been working on a fun 10th anniversary side project, a very creative and fun coffee table book of Cassie's poetry, lyrics, and UTR art from the last decade.
It's going to be a really fun way to dive into some of the UTR lore.
Anyways, plenty still to do today, so give it a watch and drop a comment if you feel inclined to connect with the other rats!
More soon always and forever,
UTR
PS, if you have any questions, feel free to comment below.
as always, thank you so much for watching and supporting us ◡̈
This song is unbridled existence in the sacred and the mundane. Listening to it, I felt god in the sanding of a new canvas, the first sip of my morning coffee, the sight of a dumpster full of building debris being hauled away, your laughter at the end…
Thank you 💜

Good to see and hear you. Miss Sean. Glad things are coming along. It was kind of you to wait for the artist even though he’s suffering from neuropathy. I hope he feels better quickly and is happy being given the chance to finish what he started.
Hoping he feels honored, not pressured.
I miss you all. Hope I’ll catch up with you in person one of these years.
